Ameri-Force has current openings for Master Sheet Metal Mechanics in Norfolk, VA!
The Sheet Metal Mechanics will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer; operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. This position will entail directing, training, and supervising others.
Minimum of 8 years of recent experience in a shipyard as a Sheet Metal Mechanic
Must have experience in the installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture and sheet metal fabrication shop work
Must be able to read blueprints and welding symbols
Must pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug test and back ground check (No Felonies)
Must have OSHA 10 and VRSA certifications
Must have a current resume
