Job Description:

The Marine Painter must have three (3) or more years experience as a marine brush and roll painter applying epoxy and non-epoxy coatings. Experience is also required in accomplishing cleaning to SSPC-SP-3 and SSPC-SP-11 standards using power tools.
Certification:
Painter must be certified in accordance with NSTM Chapter 631, Section 11.5 Shipyard Blasters and Painter Certification. Painter certification is required by NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32.

Marine Painter Requirements:

The Marine Painter must have three (3) or more years experience as a marine brush and roll painter
applying epoxy and non-epoxy coatings.
Minimum of 3 years of recent Marine Painter experience in a shipyard
1. Ability to apply coatings while maintaining desired MIL thickness.
2. Experience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heights, and use of half-face and full-face respiratory equipment.
3. Ability to use power tools to accomplish cleaning.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening and background check (NO FELONIES)
Must have a valid ID
Must be able to read work orders, follow directions, and work independently and safely
Must be okay with any shift
Must have a strong work ethic and flexible attitude
