We are seeking a hardworking, career oriented person of good character to fill a Journeyman Millwright position in our organization. First, a little bit about our company:

We rent, sell, buy, lease, service and install a wide variety of large industrial energy machines. Our products include steam boilers, chillers, cooling towers, valves, generators and more. The journeyman millwright position typically consist of trouble shooting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing machinery with minimal supervision, as well as miscellaneous jobs performed around the shop. The position requires operating conventional machinery, such as a milling machine, engine lathe, shear, saw, grinder/belt sander, plasma table or a mag drill, to make replacement parts and small production runs.
This position will require, but will not be limited to, both machining and mechanical responsibilities. Machining responsibilities include the ability to measure using various instruments, drill and tap holes, and machine parts by instruction of sketches and blueprints. Candidate should also have the ability to repair existing parts, make fixtures for production parts and create the desired surface finish on parts. The mechanical responsibilities for this position are replacing bearings and bushings, setting rotor clearances, testing and repairing pressure controls, and rebuilding electric motors up to 75 horsepower. Other mechanical duties this position is in charge of are repairing tools, making reliable modifications to improve machinery, rebuilding and testing air compressors, valves, and preform troubleshooting. Repairing control devices and select pumps will be required.
This position requires a high school diploma or an equivalent; any post-secondary training or certification is preferred. Candidate must have basic math skills and be proficient in geometry and algebra. Power Mechanical, Inc. requires all employees to have excellent customer service and effective communication skills.
Candidate should be willing and able to learn. Have a dependable and reliable work ethic is also needed. This position is fulltime and does consist of overtime; candidate must be available for overtime. A candidate with a background in electrical is preferred.
