Job Summary: Because of company growth, Chesapeake Controls Inc. is looking to hire an Experienced HVAC/R Technician for the Chesapeake, VA area. This is a great opportunity if you are someone with a strong commercial HVAC/R background who wants to be part of an employee and customer focused organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC/R systems are correctly maintained and repaired within commercial and educational buildings.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Post HS technical graduate or US Military experience
  • Good driving record (DMV)
  • EPA Level-2/Universal Refrigerant License
  • Journeyman or Masters License preferred
  • Understanding of 24 volt AC/DC controls.
  • Understanding of electrical systems below 600 volts AC
  • Understanding of HVAC&R and sub systems
  • Understanding of air compressors and pneumatic controls
  • Understanding and knowledge of reading electrical and control schematics.
  • 4 yrs Experience service or installation of Commercial Building HVAC Systems
  • Certified training from an accredited Chiller or Boiler Training Facility with 2 years practical experience on trained equipment preferred
  • Be able to work alone and with others
