This is a "hands on" working supervisor position. This position is responsible for performing maintenance work at AAA Mid Atlantic retail locations, CCIT locations and administrative locations as assigned as needed. This position is also responsible for supervising the Facilities function in up to two assigned locations. Coordinates work of associate staff, outside contractors and vendors for various services and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (50%)
Supervise associate staff and outsource contractors in order to provide cost effective service to internal customers and tenants including assignment of work from service request and other sources.
Manage assigned renovation, re-arrangement, and move projects within buildings assigned including, scheduling, requisition of furniture inventory and coordination of furniture orders through the Manager and Director ordering and follow-up to insure timely delivery.
Provide consulting services to balance of Facilities staff and other internal customers in the areas of building systems, audio-visual equipment and systems, procedure development, standards development as assigned.
Inspects ongoing projects visiting construction sites for update meetings and/or progress reports as required.
Maintain primary site(s) according to established standards including mechanical systems (if applicable).
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (50%)
Move furniture and workstation components as required.
Coordinate meetings set ups as required by internal customers.
Assist associates and outside presenters with set up of equipment and interfaces to AAA audio-visual systems.
Coordinate with IT for telephone and PC moves and changes within buildings assigned.
Act as primary contact with janitorial service handling service problems and coordinating special cleaning as required.
Other duties as assigned.
High school degree or equivalent with additional course/program work of six months to two years in Facilities related areas such as SMT. Engineer A License, universal refrigerant transportation and recovery course as required by locality.
Three years’ experience in building operation and maintenance.
Valid driving license with clean driving record.
Effective written and oral communications skills to enable accurate completion of assignments and projects and effective interaction with others.
Ability to interact with all levels of associates.
Ability to perform work in unpleasant surroundings or outside.
Physical effort is required to handle materials, tools or equipment.
