Job Description:

We need 1st CLASS ELECTRICIANS in PORTSMOUTH, VA! The 1 Class Electricians must be able to install and remove cabling/wiring, fixtures and equipment for all electrical services aboard ships utilizing blueprints, wiring, diagrams and test equipment. Have an understanding of electrical terms, definitions, abbreviations and ship’s layout. Have an understanding of cable tag requirements and wire marking terminology. Must possess an understanding of requirements for isolating and tagging of electrical systems IAW standard item 009-24 and Navy WAF procedures. Also must be familiar with cable penetrations and the use of MCT’s and MCP’s and be able to hookup two and three wire circuits. Applications will be required to have and use their own General Hand tools.

 

Job Requirements:

Have previous experience of at least 5 years in a shipyard

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Must have a current resume

Must be okay with any shift

Must pass all written tests
