  • Basic electricity and control systems
  • Electrical calculations (load size, wire limitations, etc.)
  • Install conduit (all types)
  • Install, connect, and adjust controllers, components, devices using hand tools
  • Lay out and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment according to wiring diagram, using electrician's hand tools
  • Layout device locations on equipment to be controlled
  • Low voltage up to 120vac
  • Pull wire
  • Standard design symbols common to industry
  • Understand, and work from floor plans, blueprints, specifications, and schematics
  • Voltage above 480 vac
  • Microsoft Office
  • Tools and techniques of the trade
  • Contactors, starters & motor control centers
  • DDC components, devices, safeties
