Power Mechanical, Inc is currently seeking a hardworking, career-oriented individual of good character to fill a position for the Purchasing Manager within our organization. Our company is family-owned and operated in Newport News, Virginia, and we specialize in the production of energy, both hot and cold. We rent, sell, purchase, service, and install a wide variety of large industrial equipment which includes boilers, chillers, cooling towers, valves, generators, and more. Power Mechanical has been in business for 31 years and currently has approximately 100 employees, many of which have been with us since the day we opened. Our company serves clients on five continents within various industries, ranging from projects at the White House to providing equipment on the other side of the world to textile mills in Saudi Arabia. We are a faith-based organization with a strong commitment to helping our team members grow both in and out of work. We host monthly training sessions for all employees, focusing on personal and professional development, corporate culture, and safety. 

Job Description

One must be capable of installing, repairing, and maintaining the condition of different auto parts. Power Mechanical has a fleet with over 100 different ford vehicles, semi trailers, and other gas and diesel equipment. Being able to work responsibly and carefully on vehicles is an essential way of the company being able to order and sell new and used equipment.  Responsible for correcting failures and being able to diagnose vehicles if problems were to occur. Examining different vehicles for defects such as breakage or excessive wear and tear. Air braking knowledge and as well as diagnostic knowledge is preferred. Over time may be required at times.

Must be able to perform tasks such as:

Replacing worn and broken parts.  

Inspection of equipment to include oil and fluid checks.

Cleaning and adjusting parts on different vehicles.

Creating records of all repairs that are done and need to be done.

Keeping account of equipment taken or being used on site.
