Job Description

 

Strategic Analysis, Inc., (SA) is seeking a Junior Contract Specialist to provide end to end contracting support to our government client. Candidates should have excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to work independently and recognize contracting issues that need to be elevated.

 

  • Provide advisory support to contract management personnel in the areas of administration of commercial and government contracts, in accordance with applicable policies and legal requirements, including purchase and acquisition administration and management

  • Monitor and analyze contract funding, performance dates, and option periods

  • Maintain and update contract and acquisition files

  • Task and track accomplishment using models, tools, applications/systems, software, databases, or estimating techniques at advanced levels

  • Research problems on a wide variety of contractual issues and draft appropriate correspondence for internal and external distribution

  • Assist in the development and review process for Broad Agency Announcements with the contracting and technical personnel

  • Monitor Government property reporting, approval of progress payments, invoices and final payments

  • Act as government interface and collaboration: Ensure compliance with all administrative and contractual requirements

  • Ensure compliance with the regulatory and organization requirements relative to specific assignments and may help develop such elements

  • Assist in contract close-outs

  • Demonstrate originality and ingenuity in the day-to-day accomplishment of contract and acquisition management Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

 

Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University

      • Degree(s) from regionally accredited universities and universities ranked highly by U.S. News & World Report is preferred

Experience and Skills:

      • One (1) year of experience related to contract administration

      • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel

      • Experience or education in analyzing data sets of numbers, and writing clear and concise reports. Microsoft Office; specifically Word and Excel

      • Legal experience is desired

Clearance:

    • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
