We are seeking a Highly Motivated Building Automation Systems Account Executive in the DC/Northern VA area to join a growing, dynamic team.

Compensation commensurate with experience, with a mid range of $80,000 plus aggressive performance based incentive plan. 


The primary responsibility will be to successfully market and sell HVAC Controls/Building Automation Systems in the owner direct and new construction markets. Responsibilities include: 

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to assist end users and consultants in preliminary design of projects and prepare technical specifications.
  • Call on and develop relationships with the contracting community including General Contractors, Mechanical Contractors, and Electrical Contractors.
  • Actively listen and probe to identify customer concerns, needs, and objectives.
  • Capable of generating timely high-quality estimates, sales proposals, and cost analysis.
  • Use financial selling skills model to demonstrate benefits to potential customers.
  • Responsible for developing sales and activities plans and working with management to review and execute those plans and objectives.
  • Prospecting, qualifying and targeting new customers to continually increase sales opportunities.
  • Maintain and updating sales funnel activity on a continuous basis.


Must have good verbal and written communication skills and shall be capable of producing and presenting professional proposals.  Must also have strong planning, organization, prospecting, qualifying, cold calling, negotiation and closing skills and capable of calling on all levels of management within an organization. The ideal candidate would have a four-year college degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with experience in HVAC systems, Temperature Controls, Mechanical, and lighting systems, & experience with IoT. Experience and knowledge of Commercial Energy Management and Energy Analysis is a plus.
