Job Description :
Performs all duties to layout, fabricate, and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable on aircraft. Checks, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as necessary. Cut wires to length, strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleeves. Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels and switchboards with fasteners such as bolt, screws, or solder. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
Job Requirements :
Have 3 years electricial experience installing cables through shipboard cableways, performing terminations on military and commercial crimp and soldering type connectors/connections.
Must be able to provided own hand tools specific to the trade.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must have a current resume
Must be okay with any shift
Must possess skills and abilities to perform the requirements of a ship board or airframe mechanics trade with little supervision or guidance
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, technical manuals and design notices
Landing Air Craft Cushioned (LCAC) Experience will be considered in lieu of years of experience
